Sometimes you find that client that wants something graphically playful and fun. The day you find the client that wants a sliding vector neighborhood, you can be all like , "Hey man, I got you covered".

So basically, you just create a vector neighborhood. Say your stage is 1000px and you want four scenes, make it 4000px wide. Then use the tween class in flash to jump to and from each scene in increments of 1000. Due to the seamless background, it appears that you are just coasting through your suburban neighborhood.
I'd go into the details on how to make the vector, and I'd code it flexibly and dynamically, but frankly I don't have that kind of time. So here is a demo, as well as all the source files and the original vector.
